Mosaic Artist
Amal Akhnoukh is an Egyptian mosaic artist who is passionate about handmade crafts and home accessories. She is the founder of Amal Mosaic Art. Inspired by Cairo's rich artisan culture, she established a small business to design and sell mosaic artworks of various sizes and functions. Her expertise, strengthened by workshops and courses in Canada and Italy, gives her a competitive edge in crafting unique pieces. She is committed to reviving and promoting mosaic art; she showcases her work through exhibitions, workshops, and symposiums in Egypt and beyond. She also strives to integrate mosaic art into contemporary design and encourage local artisans to preserve traditional craftsmanship and to share Egyptian culture globally.
Assistant Professor & Visual Artist
Alaa Abu El Hamd, an assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts and visual artist in Luxor. He holds a BA in Fine Arts and is currently pursuing a PhD on Luxor's impact on contemporary Egyptian art. He is also a recipient of the 24th Youth Salon Award. His work has been showcased in more than 20 group exhibitions across Cairo, Muscat, Port Said, Alexandria, and Luxor, including the 2007 Port Said Biennale and Cairo Salon. Drawing inspiration from ancient Egyptian heritage and Upper Egypt's landscapes, his art reflects themes of stillness, strength, and silence.
Multi-talented Artist
Hamed Mohamed Mostafa is a multi-talented Egyptian artist. He works as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor. One of his most notable achievements is designing and creating the "Dahab Underwater Museum," an innovative project to preserve coral reefs. The museum was designed to aid in the conservation of the Red Sea coral reefs by alleviating pressure on them through the creation of alternative dive sites. The museum has gained international recognition and has been featured by major global outlets such as Reuters, Deutsche Welle (Germany), BBC Arabic, Taucher (the German diving magazine), and various local and regional publications. The project has participated in numerous competitions and conferences, consistently earning top rankings.
